New Delhi. Israel recently entered Iran and killed its enemy number-1 Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh. After this, when Iran planned a retaliatory action, America sent its warships into the field. Now Iran is planning to take revenge from America through cyber war. Iran’s hacking group targeted the election campaign of President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump. The WhatsApp accounts of the office staff of both the leaders have been targeted. Meta reported that this attack has been carried out amidst the presidential campaigns of both the Democrat and Republican parties.
Meta says its team has tracked down a network of hackers who posed as technical support agents for companies including Microsoft, Yahoo and Google, as well as other search engines, after reports were received from individuals who received suspicious WhatsApp messages. Meta’s investigative team linked the activity to the same network that was blamed for the hacking incident reported during Trump’s campaign.
