The Russia-Ukraine war started in February 2022.The US has been banning Russian companies ever since. Then action was taken against the companies providing help to Russia.
New Delhi. Russia attacked Ukraine two and a half years ago, after which many European countries including the US imposed economic sanctions on Russia to hurt its economy. Despite this, Russia somehow managed to bring its economy back on track by selling crude oil at a discount to countries like India. The US has once again attacked companies that help Russia. According to the Associated Press, the US has now imposed sanctions on more than 100 Russian, Asian, African and European companies that were helping Russia in supplying weapons during the war.
This ban has been imposed by the US Treasury Department, which includes 60 IT and defense sector companies of Russia. The US has also banned three Russian companies related to financial technology. Apart from this, companies from Turkey, France and Hong Kong have also been targeted. These companies were helping Russia in purchasing transport equipment and ammunition in bulk. America wants to hurt Russia in every possible way so that it surrenders in the war. This is not the first time that such bans have been imposed on Russia. However, every time Russia emerged out of it and continued the war.

Ukraine returns to war
Till now, Russia was taking unilateral action by entering Ukraine. In this war, Ukraine was only in a position to defend itself with the help of America and European countries. Now Ukraine is also entering Russia and retaliating. Recently, Ukraine carried out drone attacks in Russia’s capital Moscow. These attacks shook President Vladimir Putin as well. PM Narendra Modi visited both Russia and Ukraine in the last one and a half months. However, nothing can be said clearly as to when this war will end.
