Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif had invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi to come to Islamabad to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) meeting. But as per the news coming out, it seems that PM Modi is not going to Pakistan. Because the SCO summit is to be held on 15-16 October, no announcement has been made for it, while the BRICS summit is to be held after that from 22 to 24 October in Kazan city of Russia, PM Modi has agreed to go to it. The answer to why PM Modi is doing this was given by Russian President Vladimir Putin himself. He said that India can stop the Ukraine war. However, he also took the names of China and Brazil, but everyone knows that America and European countries will never listen to China.
India has been trying for many months to stop the Ukraine war. PM Modi has said openly that if this crisis can be ended with his help, then he is ready for talks. For this purpose, PM Modi first went to Russia and had a long conversation with President Putin there. He persuaded him to stop the war. PM Modi told him that war cannot be the solution to any crisis. Both the countries should sit together and solve the issue diplomatically.
Everyone including America has their eyes on India
PM Modi reached Ukraine a few days after returning from Russia. There he met President Volodymyr Zelensky. He was also told clearly that war cannot be a solution. Children are dying in this. PM Modi also gave a message to Putin from the soil of Ukraine that this war has to be stopped at all costs. As soon as PM Modi returned to India from Ukraine, he received a call from US President Joe Biden. He also wanted to know what could be the way to stop the war. After this, PM Modi spoke to Putin. And now PM Modi will be in Russia once again in the last week of October. Chinese President Xi Jinping will also be there. It is possible that some way of ceasefire may emerge from there.
What did Putin finally say?
To stop the Ukraine crisis, talks were held between Russia and Ukraine in Istanbul months ago. But that agreement could never be implemented. Putin says that the talks can move forward from there. Putin clearly said that India, China and Brazil are the only countries that want a solution to this issue wholeheartedly. I also keep talking to the leaders of India, China and Brazil on this issue.

1. India is the only country which has equally friendly relations with Ukraine and Russia.
