Dr. Giorgio Possagno will be the new General Manager of the Italian shoe industry association Assocalzaturifici. In this position, he will represent the approximately 500 companies in the Italian shoe industry. Possagno is 53 years old and has a doctorate in law. He most recently worked for the trade fair organizer Veronafiere from 2013 to August 2024. Before that, he worked for the tire manufacturer Pirelli, the Italian Telekom and the Brazilian telecommunications company Tim. “I would like to thank the chairwoman Giovanna Ceolini, the executive committee, the general directorate of Assocalzaturifici and the board of directors of Acni Servizi for the trust that has been unanimously placed in me with this appointment,” explains Possagno.
