A very shocking incident has come to light from Bihar, where a nurse cut off a doctor’s private part with a surgical blade. This happened when the doctor and his two companions allegedly tried to rape the nurse. The police have arrested all three accused, including Dr. Sanjay Kumar Sanju. The incident took place in Samastipur, Bihar.
According to India Today report, Dr Sanjay Kumar Sanju from Begusarai district, Sunil Kumar Gupta from Vaishali district and Awadhesh Kumar from Mangra area have been accused of rape.
The three consumed alcohol and in an inebriated state started misbehaving with the woman working at the health centre. When Sanju tried to rape her, the woman picked up a surgical blade and cut off his private part.
Later she escaped from there. After hiding in a field, she called the police. A team led by SP Vinay Tiwari arrested the doctor and his associates from the hospital.
The injured doctor is undergoing treatment in the hospital. When the police found the woman, she was hiding in a field.
The nurse had been working at the hospital for the past 10-15 months. She told the police that she used a surgical blade on the doctor in self-defence.
The police found blood-soaked bedsheets, mobile phones and liquor bottles from the hospital. They also found that the CCTV cameras had been switched off.
This incident comes just weeks after a woman doctor was raped and murdered inside a seminar hall of a government hospital in Kolkata. The woman was sleeping inside the room when a civil volunteer named Sanjoy Roy entered the room at 4.03 am and allegedly raped and murdered the woman.
Junior doctors have been protesting against this incident for several weeks. People also took out processions and demonstrations against the incident in many other parts of the country.
