Trump Vs Kamala Presidential Debate 2024: Former President Donald Trump has announced that he will not participate in any other presidential debate with Vice President Kamala Harris before the election on November 5. Let us tell you that before the presidential election in the US, Kamala Harris, the presidential candidate from the Democratic Party, defeated her Republican rival Donald Trump in the first debate on Tuesday (September 10). Harris was successful in cornering Trump on topics like US foreign policy, economy, border security and abortion.
During this debate with Trump, Harris was seen trying her best to make up for President Joe Biden’s disappointing performance in the previous presidential debate. In this 90-minute long debate, Harris tried to corner Trump from all sides. The first presidential debate held on September 10 in Philadelphia, USA proved to be a lifesaver for the Democratic Party candidate Kamala Harris.
Trump said on Thursday that he had clearly won the first debate and so Kamala Harris wanted to debate again. The Republican candidate wrote on the social media site Truth Social, “There will be no third debate! We don’t think there is a need for it.” Trump told the New York Post, “We’ve had two debates. You know, one against Biden (on June 27) and one against Comrade Kamala… I did well. I did really well.”

However, several polls taken immediately after the September 10 debate indicated that voters felt Harris had performed better than her Republican rival. Trump said that instead of the debate, Harris should focus on her work as Vice President.
Harris overshadowed Trump
The debate began with both leaders shaking hands on September 10, but later it turned into a sharp aggressive tone. During the 90-minute debate in Pennsylvania, 59-year-old Harris concluded her debate by commenting, “I think you heard two very different visions for the country tonight. One that focuses on the future and the other that focuses on the past. It’s going to take us backwards, but we’re not going back.”
He claimed that world leaders laugh at Donald Trump and leave no stone unturned to ridicule him. He said, “I have spoken with military leaders, some of whom have worked with you. They say you are a disgrace.” At the same time, 78-year-old Trump also tried to corner Harris and asked why she did not fulfill the promises she is making now in these three and a half years of tenure under President Joe Biden and his own administration?
In his closing remarks at the debate, the former President said, “She started out saying she will do this, she will do that. She is going to do all these wonderful things, but why hasn’t she done any of them till now? She had three and a half years to do all of these things. She had three and a half years to solve the border dispute. She had three and a half years to create jobs and all the things that we talked about. Why didn’t she do it then?”
Trump was stronger than Biden in the first debate
This was the second ‘Presidential Debate’. But this was the first debate between Trump and Harris. The first presidential debate was held on 27 June between President Joe Biden and Trump. After his disappointing performance in this, Biden withdrew from the presidential race. This paved the way for Harris to become the party’s candidate in the presidential election to be held in November. The moderators of ABC News, who were conducting the debate, had to interrupt several times during this time to check the facts.
There was a spat between the two about election rallies. Harris quipped, “This is going to be very funny. You will see that in his rallies he talks about fictional characters like Hannibal Lecter. He will say that windmills cause cancer. You will see that people get upset and bored and start leaving his rallies very quickly.”
At the same time, Trump, without providing any proof, accused Harris of paying people to attend her events. He said, “Our rallies were the biggest. The most credible rallies in the history of politics. This was because people want to see their country back on track.”
Harris said, “I strongly believe that the people of America want a president who understands the importance of coming together and that we have more in common than what separates us. I promise you that I will be the president of all American citizens.” Many American commentators said that Harris performed better during the debate. Fox News, which often leans towards Trump, also admitted that Harris emerged as a clear winner, but this does not mean that the election is over yet.
