Under the National Agricultural Development Scheme, the government is giving grants to farmers for 3 years to plant a new mango orchard.

The special thing is that after the plants in the newly planted garden dry up, the department also gives money for planting new plants. To take advantage of the scheme, farmers have to register online on the website of the Horticulture Department.

50 percent subsidy is available

Shahjahanpur’s District Horticulture Officer Puneet Kumar Pathak, while talking to Local 18, said that the state government is promoting mango gardening in the state. He said that there has been a lot of interest in mango gardening among the farmers in Shahjahanpur. Under which the department is helping the farmers to plant mango orchards. If farmers want to plant mango orchards with the help of the Horticulture Department, then they can register to avail the grant. Under the scheme, farmers get 50 percent grant for mango gardening. A grant of Rs 7650 will be given in the first year for planting a mango orchard. Similarly, the grant amount will be sent to the farmer’s account in the second and third year as well.

The department will give a new plant in place of the dried plant

Pathak further said that farmers plant mango orchards under the National Agricultural Development Scheme. During this period, if any mango plant dries up, then in such a situation the department also helps the farmers to plant new plants. Farmers should plant new plants in place of the damaged plants. Submit the bill to the District Horticulture Office. The department will make the payment for the new plant.
