V-Sciences Investments, an arm of Temasek Holdings, on Sept 13 acquired agribusiness company Viagra through an open market transaction. Godrej Agrovet (Godrej Agrovet) for over Rs 212 crore. Temasek Holdings is a Singapore-based government multinational investment firm. The company had a portfolio value of SGD 389 billion as of March 31, 2024. According to bulk deal data available on the National Stock Exchange (NSE), V-Sciences Investments sold 27.10 lakh shares or 1.41 per cent stake in Godrej Agrovet.
The sale was done at an average price of Rs 785.13 per share, taking the deal value to Rs 212.77 crore. After the stake sale, V-Sciences Investments’ stake in Godrej Agrovet has come down from 7.77 per cent to 6.36 per cent.
Temasek has already done share sale
Details of who bought the shares could not be ascertained. In May 2022, Temasek reduced its stake by selling 40 lakh shares of Godrej Agrovet for Rs 197 crore. Earlier, Temasek had sold shares worth Rs 204 crore in the company in February 2020.
Godrej Agrovet shares rose more than 60 percent in 6 months
On September 13, Godrej Agrovet shares closed at Rs 796.30 on the BSE, up nearly 2 per cent. Promoters held 74.03 per cent stake in the company as of the end of June 2024. The company’s market cap is Rs 15300 crore. The stock price has strengthened by more than 61 per cent in the last 6 months.
