“Conventional safety shoes with a straight toe cap offer protection, but often come at the expense of the natural movement of the foot and comfort,” explains Ingo Grusa, Managing Director of Baak, about the innovation.
The Phoenix is characterized by its zero-drop insole, which, like when walking barefoot, has no difference in height between the heel and forefoot, adds Info Grusa. Other features of the Phoenix are the extra-wide toe cap and an additional ten millimeters of space for a natural rolling motion of the foot. These properties are based on the patented Baak Go&Relax system with a diagonal bend line that the manufacturer already uses in many other models. The new model is available in sizes 39 to 48, and from November also from size 36.
