Yamuna water level rises due to heavy rains in Uttar Pradesh
Due to heavy rains in Prayagraj district of Uttar Pradesh, the water level of Yamuna and Ganga rivers has risen. Many low-lying areas have been submerged. The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) has started rescue operations in the affected areas of the district. Due to the rising water level of the rivers, the ghats have submerged. Due to which people are performing aarti at a great height. People are facing difficulties in bathing. The area around the Hanuman temple at Sangam Ghat has been submerged. Due to which shopkeepers are having to close their shops. Currently, 11 districts of Uttar Pradesh are facing floods. According to information received from the state government, 17 people have died due to the floods.

Threat of heavy rain in Uttarakhand
