Titan, based in Hamburg, has been producing suitcases in Hauzenberg near Passau in Bavaria since 2015. In 2020, the company made the strategic decision to produce exclusively in Germany. Four years later, Titan has outgrown its current suitcase production. In its search for a larger location, the manufacturer found one in Obernzell. The renovation and modernization will begin there in winter 2024/2025, Titan announced.
Alfred Gruber, Managing Director of Titan, says: “As a native of Lower Bavaria, I am delighted that we have found a new building in Obernzell. It meets all the requirements we need for our next step in the further development of Titan.”
In Obernzell, the company expects a modern production facility with good infrastructure and transport links directly on the B388 federal highway. With 6,000 square meters, the new location offers four times as much space as the previous production facility in Hauzenberg. A new machine park, new production lines and the installation of a high-bay warehouse are some of the renovation measures that will be implemented there next winter. “The new building enables us to optimize and streamline processes, which means we can produce more efficiently,” explains Gruber.
