The shoe retailer Deichmann will move from the upper floor to the ground floor in the Böblingen shopping center Mercaden, increasing its space by 116 square meters to 582 square meters and thus adapting the location to Deichmann’s new store concept. The handover of the space is expected to take place in February 2025. The old Deichmann branch is to remain open until then. “We are delighted that Deichmann is looking to the future with us and making use of the excellent qualities of the Mercaden Böblingen location. Our customers will really appreciate being able to find an even larger selection of fashionable, cool and practical shoes with a really good price-performance ratio in the future,” says Edip Özerol, Sonae Sierra Center Manager at Mercaden Böblingen. Deichmann company spokesman Christian Hinkel adds: “We are consistently investing in the attractiveness of our stores. Our new store concept is groundbreaking. Modern look, generous feeling of space, soft colors and plenty of space for sporting goods. And new services, the expansion of the omnichannel offering and the linking of stationary business and online retail also play an important role here.”
