Brahma Chellaney then posted several photos of Yunus with former US President Bill Clinton and wrote, ‘Yunus pioneered microcredit or small loans to rural families to reduce poverty, for which he received the Nobel Prize, not in economics.’ Chellaney had also posted a post in August after the coup in Bangladesh. In the post, Chellaney wrote, ‘Bangladesh was rapidly developing economically under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina, but external powers and Islamic fundamentalists could not digest Sheikh Hasina. China was angry over giving the Teesta project to India. In the year 2021, Bangladesh was not invited to the Democratic Summit by Biden, while Pakistan was invited. However, Pakistan did not come.

Islamic fundamentalists dominate the army. Bangladesh was divided from the beginning. There was a section which was Islamic and a nationalist section. The nationalist section was with Sheikh Hasina, but they did not do any work. Let me tell you that the nationalist section is a big section in Bangladesh, but Hasina drowned it.’

It will develop a special relationship with Pakistan. America had immediately recognized their government. It has also promised financial support. They need money immediately. As far as China is concerned, they cannot leave China. They are very dependent on China. Their plan is to take both China and America along. America has some demands which India will never like. It is asking for an island. It wants to control the South China Sea by making its base there. All this is not good for India. The policies of Jamaat and the new government are not very much in favor of the Indian government.’
