Hervis is realigning itself

“We are at a turning point in a rapidly changing market environment,” explains Hervis CEO Ulrich Hanfeld at a kick-off event in Salzburg. The Austrian sports retailer with 90 locations and 2,800 employees is to adapt its strategy for the winter. “The ability to respond quickly to change will determine success.”

The central themes of the strategic direction are closer cooperation with the sporting goods industry, a new logistical infrastructure and a stronger focus on the needs of customers. The range is to be sharpened and a new warehouse will go into operation in 2025.

The event highlighted the importance of collaboration and trust as key success factors in the industry. With the strategic realignment, Hervis expects sustainable growth and innovation leadership in a challenging market environment. “Our goal is clear,” said Hanfeld. “Together with our strong partners and by consistently focusing on customer needs, we will open up new growth opportunities. Innovation and operational excellence go hand in hand.”
