EPFO subscribers can now use many services online. For this it is necessary to complete e-nomination. EPFO has been trying to make its services available online for a long time. Subscribers can access the services online through EPFO’s member portal or through its app. The name of EPFO’s app is Umang. Subscribers need to keep in mind that there are certain conditions to avail the services related to withdrawal. The subscriber can avail the benefits only after their completion.

Subscribers can also check their EPF account balance through the Umang app. For this they will have to download Umang app on their mobile phone. Subscribers can also track PF withdrawal requests on the Umang app. Umang app can be downloaded from Google Play. After this you will have to sign in to this app. For this you can use your Aadhaar number and password. After that you will be able to take advantage of the services available on it.
You can use it like this
After logging in to this app, you will have to select ‘EPFO’ services from the list. After that you can select the service according to your need. If you want to withdraw money from your EPF account then you have to select the ‘Raise Claim’ option. Then you have to enter your UAN. After that an OTP will come on your mobile number. After that you have to select the type of withdrawal. Then you have to enter all the details. After that the request has to be submitted. You will then receive an acknowledgment number.

You can take advantage of these services
A Universal Account Number (UAN) is allotted to every subscriber by EPFO. The subscriber will have to use this number to use every service of EPFO. EPFO has provided many types of services on Umang App. These include KYC update, view passbook, generate Jeevan Pramaan certificate, PPO download and tracking and registration of complaints, apart from making claims and balance checking for withdrawals.
