On September 19th, the British label Dr. Martens in the Austrian region: The brand’s first store of its own was opened in Vienna. With an area of 93.1 square meters, the company now also offers its usual extensive selection of branded items, from shoes to accessories, on Mariahilfer Straße.
The store itself is furnished in the label’s industrial style: concrete surfaces and steel elements can be found here, as well as campaign images and the influences of music and subculture. A highlight is the work of art by the Viennese artist Petra Holländer. It connects the brand’s 1460 boat with the city’s music and cultural scene and celebrates the “spirits of the city”.
