The outdoor goods manufacturer Vaude has announced that it will be working with the company Retraced. Retraced offers fashion and textile companies the opportunity to digitize their supply chains to manage compliance data and ensure greater transparency. The integration of Retraced into Vaude’s processes took place over the past twelve months. All supply chain partners can interact in real time on the Retraced platform and share information on sustainability and social compatibility. The manufacturer was able to integrate 121 suppliers onto the Retraced platform and thus achieved an active supplier rate of 95%. A total of 350 certificates were shared with each other via the integration. “We introduced Retraced to comprehensively digitalize supply chain management at Vaude. It is crucial that not only quality and delivery reliability can be monitored, but also social and environmental aspects are taken into account,” explains Bettina Roth, Head of Quality Management at Vaude: “With Retraced, we have found a solution to sustainably develop our supply chain and thereby to achieve ever higher goals of our sustainability strategy. Retraced supports us in an efficient and professional manner in determining key figures, determining the status quo of a supplier, presenting the supply chain transparently, managing certifications and audits and tracking the origin of materials (chain of custody and tracing). The digitalization of supply chain management is becoming increasingly important given the laws that will come as part of the EU Green Deal.” Retraced CEO Lukas Pünder adds: “We are proud to work with Vaude, who are so committed to sustainability and transparency in their supply chain. Vaude’s commitment to integrating Retraced demonstrates their proactive stance towards a more sustainable future and we will continue to support them on this journey.”
According to its own information, Retraced brings together over 15,000 suppliers and already cooperates with S.Oliver and Marc O’Polo, among others.
