Off the Grid reached the position of one of the most popular free games on Epic Games.
It surpassed popular games like Fornite, Rocket League or Genshin Impact on the platform.
Off the Grid, the Web3 video game developed by Gunzilla Games and built on the Gunz network, a subnet of Avalanche (AVAX), became the most popular free game on the Epic Games platform on October 11, 2024. Three days later it remains at the top of that list.
Since its early access release on October 8, this title has demonstrated massive adoption by players, surpassing to the main titles of this segment like Fortnite, Rocket League or Genshin Impact. These games have been dominating the rankings of the most popular free games for months and even a year, which is why the effusiveness around Off the Grid is surprising.
Additionally, on October 13 Off the Grid ranked 11th, above the tremendously popular League of Legends (LOL).
But it wasn’t just that. On October 11th itself positioned as the sixth game with the most views on the streaming platform Twitch.
What is Off the Grid?
Off The Grid is a Web3 game that combines elements of battle royale and shooter extractionset in futuristic cities.
A battle royale It is a game in which a large number of players (150 in the case of Off the Grid) face each other on a gradually shrinking map. The main objective is to be the last player standing.

Additionally, many users of the video game posted messages on X about the GUN token. For example, according to one of them under the pseudonym “Puneeth 9000”, who expressed that users will be able to earn GUN by completing missions within Off the Grid.
Furthermore, this same user added that the tokens GUN purchased are not limited to this single game. Players can use them in various video games developed by Gunzilla. This means that the GUN that users earn in one game can be useful in other games in the same Gunz ecosystem.
The latter had been confirmed in the advertisement de Gunz, but alluding to the transfer of the NFTs and not the GUN token.
