New America boss for Nike – schuhkurier
Peddie had just been brought out of retirement to the position of Vice President Marketplace Partners in July. As head of the Americas, he will now take over the responsibilities of Scott Uzzell, who is leaving the company.
Tom Peddie looks back on 30 years of work for Nike. He retired in 2020. Now he is supposed to direct the company’s fortunes in the home market. This also includes strengthening the retail business, from which the company recently withdrew in order to devote more time to direct sales to end consumers.
Tom Peddie is the second Nike veteran the company has brought back from retirement. The sporting goods retailer recently announced that Elliott Hill would take over as CEO from John Donahoe.
“I am pleased to welcome Tom Peddie back to North America. There is no one better qualified to lead the next phase of strategic growth in North America,” said Craig Williams, president of marketplaces at Nike, in a statement. “In particular, Tom’s excellent relationships with our retailers and his vast experience in developing an integrated marketplace will be critical to accelerating our future success.”
