On November 18th at 10 a.m., the Blue Angel is hosting the “Blue Angel for Shoes” information event, which is intended to provide an overview of the certificate for shoes. At the webinar already announced in conversation with schuhkurier, the Blue Angel would like to give shoe manufacturers the opportunity to find out about the criteria and the practical procedure, especially when certifying shoes. The speakers were Dr. Kristin Stechemesser from the Federal Environment Agency, Dr. Sven Ueberlein from RAL gGmbH and Ismene Jäger from Ökologie Netze, a consulting company for environmental issues. After a presentation of the Blue Angel as such, the requirements of the seal for shoes will be explained. Evidence should also play a role here. A checklist is also presented that companies can use in preparation for the application. The checklist was developed based on practical experience and is intended to relieve the burden on both applicants and certifiers at RAL gGmbH. Reports from practice were also announced as an element of the webinar.
