Change of board at Adidas – schuhkurier

Arthur Höld, board member for global sales, is leaving Adidas effective October 31, 2024. According to Adidas’ announcement, he had informed the supervisory board not to extend the mandate beyond March 31, 2026. Both parties then mutually agreed to end the collaboration early. Höld only joined the board in April 2023. Before that, he held various positions at the company since 1998.

Mathieu Sidokpohou was appointed as his successor, effective November 1st. Sidokpohou joined the company in 2020 as General Manager Adidas France, became General Manager Cluster South Europe in July 2021 and Managing Director Europe in 2023. “Mathieu has exactly the experience and attitude we need at this point in our turnaround to continue the current momentum and continue to grow our business together with our partners. Together with his team, he drove the recent success in our home market of Europe, which grew by more than 20%. I’m really looking forward to working with him and taking advantage of the opportunities that lie ahead. “I would like to thank Arthur for his support at the beginning of my time at Adidas, for his strong commitment to Adidas and for the great achievements under his leadership over the last 26 years,” said Adidas CEO Bjørn Gulden. Thomas Rabe, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, comments: “On behalf of the Supervisory Board, I would like to thank Arthur for his commitment, his passion and his leadership qualities. With his extensive commercial experience and brand expertise, he celebrated numerous successes at Adidas over the last two decades and was an integral part of our turnaround. We wish him all the best for his future. At the same time, we are pleased that we can once again appoint an excellent internal candidate to the board in Mathieu. He brings extensive omnichannel experience from both his time at Adidas and leading global retailers to his new role on our Board.”

As of November 1, 2024, the company’s Board of Directors will consist of Bjørn Gulden (Chief Executive Officer and Global Brands), Harm Ohlmeyer (Chief Financial Officer), Michelle Robertson (Global Human Resources, People and Culture) and Mathieu Sidokpohou (Global Sales).
