The British company Coach Armour has now developed a repair kit for exactly this: The Big Toe Hole Preventer.
The Big Toe Hole Preventer is a reinforced self-adhesive patch and applicator system that prevents the toe from making a hole in the expensive shoe. Holes that have already appeared can be repaired with this product, which extends the life of the shoe.
The kit consists of a self-adhesive, robust nylon patch that is particularly abrasion and tear-resistant, and a specially developed “applicator”.
This clever tool allows the Big Toe Hole Preventer to be glued exactly to the affected and hard-to-reach area on the inside of the toe box without any problems, wrinkles and quickly.
The advantages: You don’t have to remove the shoelaces. When attaching, the patch doesn’t get caught on your fingers. And you don’t have to guess where to put the patch. All of this is done using the included applicator, which is also recyclable.
The patch is so thin and flexible that once attached it cannot be felt and does not interfere with walking.
