That’s what Deichmann says about the Esprit deal

The bidding process was about the complete license package including fashion brand rights. The trademark rights for the textile sector go to the Theia Group of Companies via Deichmann.

“We believe in the versatile brand. The trendy, comfortable shoes from Esprit fit perfectly into our portfolio,” explains Deichmann. It was agreed not to disclose the amount of the purchase price.

The Esprit brand shoes, which have been part of the Deichmann range since 2019, continue to enjoy great popularity, the Essen-based company also reports. Since the fall/winter 2020 season, shoe collections have been developed and purchased together with Esprit.

By acquiring the trademark rights, Deichmann will now secure the Esprit shoe collections in the long term, the company continued. “We would now like to take the positive spirit of optimism for the brand with us. Ultimately, many would have regretted it if Esprit, another big name, had disappeared from the fashion market,” explains a Deichmann spokesman to schuhkurier.

Whether there will also be a wholesale collection from Esprit in the future still needs to be clarified, said the Deichmann spokesman in response to a schuhcourier request.
