In the third quarter, Hermès achieved sales of 3.7 billion euros. This is an increase of 10% in absolute figures and 11% in currency-adjusted values. Hermès had cumulative sales of 11.2 billion euros this year, +11% in absolute terms, +14% adjusted for currency effects. As in the previous two quarters, the luxury goods group was able to record double-digit sales growth.
Year to date there has been an increase of 14% in France, although shops in Paris were less busy during the Olympics. In the rest of Europe there was an increase of 18% despite strong comparative figures. Sales in North and South America were 13% more than in the same period last year, 23% in Japan and 7% in the rest of Asia. Sales of leather goods increased by 17%, clothing and accessories increased by 15% and textiles increased by 2%.
