Zalando is expanding its collaboration with Adyen

The fintech company Adyen has announced that it will expand its collaboration with Zalando and is now a payment partner in 15 European markets. As a service provider, Adyen takes on end-to-end payment functions and offers financial products. In addition to Zalando, it also works with Flix, H&M and Microsoft, among others.

With the expansion of the collaboration, Adyen will become the exclusive partner for certain payment methods such as Cartes Bancaires in France and Bancontact in Belgium. The central innovation of the partnership is the introduction of Network Token Optimization. Network tokens are secure, non-sensitive references to customers’ payment card data and can increase authorization rates. By using these tokens instead of the traditional Primary Account Numbers (PAN), Zalando benefits from fewer unintentional cancellations. With Network Token Optimization supported by Adyen, Zalando achieves higher authorization rates and conversion success, ensuring a smooth payment experience for customers. Adyen’s solution also ensures that customers are not redirected to third-party providers and offers integrated payment processing.
