Shopping fans from all over Germany could vote online for their favorite store until October 21, 2024. The winners will be named “Favorite Store 2024” with the “Kauf Lokal” award on November 16, 2024. Four prizes go to retail companies from the ranks of the ANWR group of companies: three affiliated stores of Sport 2000 and a leather goods dealer of Goldkrone.
The winners are the Frankfurter Laufshop in Frankfurt, Absolute Run Sport Pauli in Regensburg, Schuh- und Sport Klausmann in Furtwangen and Ranzenfee & Kistetroll in Berlin.
The winners of the campaign – one per federal state – represent a total of 16 stationary stores of different types and sizes. In the past few weeks, they have activated their own customers, fans and followers and prevailed in the large online voting with the most votes against all other nominees for “Favorite Store 2024”.
“The campaign was a complete success,” says co-initiator Frank Schuffelen, CEO of the ANWR Group. “Especially thanks to the active participation of the retailers themselves and the many regular customers who cast their votes.” With creative social media campaigns, personal video messages or “voting stations” directly in the store, retailers have found innovative ways to to collect as many votes as possible.
The campaign is intended to draw attention to the retail sector: everyone can use their shopping behavior to help stop the extinction of inner cities and revitalize the local shopping culture. Since its launch five years ago, the campaign has achieved great reach and gained many more supporters.
