Venezuela frees more than 200 prisoners detained in post-election unrest

The Venezuelan authorities this weekend released 225 out of the more than 2,400 people arrested during protests against President Maduro’s disputed re-election in July. The detainees included 164 minors, 69 of whom remained behind bars. Relatives of detainees plan to rally on Monday in front of the prosecutor’s office to request that more be released.
