Israel has said that Zvi Kogan, an Israeli-Moldovan rabbi who went missing in the United Arab Emirates, was killed in what he described as a “heinous anti-Semitic attack”. Kogan had served as the emissary for the Chabad-Lubavitch movement, a branch of Orthodox Judaism, in the UAE. His body was found in the Emirati city of Al Ain, which borders Oman.
