The transparent possibility of concluding digital data exchange agreements – “Dave” – is intended to enable users to view and download current data exchange agreements at any time. The platform also offers the opportunity to conclude new agreements digitally and easily.
Another feature of Dave is the automatic confirmation email that the trading partner receives when they make a request. This email confirms receipt of the request and presents the next steps. According to the BTE, another advantage of the platform is the easy download of the merchant’s address master data.
A new feature within Dave is the potential overview, which directly shows additional and available EDI interfaces. This overview is intended to help users identify new business opportunities and make informed decisions. The BTE emphasizes that every ECC customer has free access to Dave.
The BTE strongly recommends that shoe retailers use Dave. BTE Managing Director Rolf Pangels: “Dave creates maximum data transparency, significantly reduces administrative effort and significantly accelerates data exchange processes. Shoe retailers should not miss the optimization potential that Dave offers in terms of saving time and reducing errors.”
All actors relevant to data exchange work in the BTE working group “Data exchange in the shoe industry”. In addition to the BTE and representatives from retail and industry, the HDS/L, the ANWR and SABU association groups, the ECC clearing center and merchandise management providers are also involved. Within the working group, the “Data Exchange Agreement Dave” project group is concerned with simplifying data exchange agreements.
