Biden gave the reason for the pardon
Hunter Biden’s attorneys formally notified a judge Sunday night of his pardon in his criminal case. He said in an affidavit that he had accepted his father’s forgiveness. Joe Biden said in a statement that he decided to pardon his son because he was subject to selective and unfair prosecution. He said Hunter was treated differently to others who had committed similar crimes. The president said political opponents were inciting the accusations to influence the election. Biden further said, I hope Americans can understand why a father and a president made this decision.
