Snipes opens the concept store Studio 93 in Saint-Denis in the Île-de-France region, which includes the French capital and its surrounding areas. Studio 93 is intended to serve as a space for the local community and has an attached dance and music studio that artists, schools and social institutions can use for creative exchange. It is the second studio concept store after Studio 44 in Berlin-Neukölln (44 is the former postal code of Neukölln; 93 is the serial number of the Seine-Saint-Denis department), which opened last September. The studio in Berlin is at 100% capacity and is used by numerous young creative people. “With Studio93 we are taking our commitment to the community to the next level,” explains CEO Dennis Schröder. “Saint-Denis is a center of urban culture in Paris, making it the perfect location for our second studio. Music and dance are essential parts of street culture. With Studio 93 we want to promote this and make it more accessible.”
The new store is influenced by Parisian culture. In the entrance area there is a pop-up with the Snipes pattern and the logo of the Paris Saint-Germain football club, with which Snipes has been cooperating since September. There is graffiti by the 1Up crew in the stairwell, and the studio is on the upper floor, the design of which is intended to combine Parisian elegance with street credibility.
