French President Emmanuel Macron on Monday invited party leaders to come together for talks in a bid to form a new government amid the political crisis triggered by the ousting of Prime Minister Michel Barnier. The talks so far appear to exclude both far-right and hard-left parties, with the president’s office saying they have only invited members who have shown an ability to compromise.
