New store for toe play – schuhkurier

Kristin Fitterer and Roman Degenhardt have “a full week” behind them. In Erbach, where Töpfespiel was founded at the beginning of 2020 and opened its first store, a new store will soon welcome customers. It has three times the area of the previous location and also has spacious office space for the growing team. “With around 280 square meters of sales space, it will be the largest barefoot shoe store in Germany and, with the Rhine-Main/Rhine-Neckar area, it has a very large catchment area,” says Roman Degenhardt. The store is scheduled to officially open in the spring.

As if that wasn’t enough, the opening of another location was now celebrated in Göttingen. In the city center location, Töpferspiel has been offering its range focused on barefoot shoes since the end of September. “We are very happy and grateful that our business in Göttingen has been very well received,” says Kristin Fitterer. Roman Degenhardt had previously run a mono-brand store with a different brand in the store. Now women, men and children can benefit from the wide range of barefoot shoes on offer. The range includes Froddo, Koel, Affenzahn and Develab for children. Slippers from Nanga and Gottstein are also included, as well as rubber boots from Bundgaard and Koel. For adults, the store in Göttingen offers the brands Blusun, Koel, Leguano, as well as Lackner, Xero, Merrell, Vivobarefoot and Bär in the outdoor and sports sector. If a customer misses a model or brand, they have the opportunity to access the complete online range of Töpfespiel in the store and order the corresponding model.

According to the wishes of the two managing directors, the two locations in Erbach and Göttingen should not remain the same: other locations such as Kassel and Rothenburg ob der Tauber should follow in the next few months. Shop-in-shop areas in department and fashion stores are also planned.

Fitterer and Degenhardt are confident about the coming months. The topic of barefoot shoes is booming. Started in 2020, Kristin Fitterer navigated the company she founded, Töpferspiel, through the corona pandemic. Due to the rapid growth, Roman Degenhardt joined as a business partner last year and has since been managing director together with Kristin Fitterer. Degenhardt currently runs ten locations and eight areas in fashion and department stores in his own shoe retail company.
