
At least 100 passengers on an Istanbul-bound IndiGo flight were reportedly stranded at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport for over 16 hours due to a technical glitch on the plane. IndiGo flight 6E17 (Mumbai-Istanbul) was earlier scheduled to take off at 6:55 am on Saturday, but has now been rescheduled to take off at 11 pm. Angry passengers vented their anger on social media platforms. On the other hand, the airline says that the flight was delayed due to operational reasons.
He told that he was kept in the plane for several hours without any update, which caused a lot of trouble. A passenger alleged that they got drinking water only 13 hours after the trouble started. IndiGo staff later informed the passengers that the flight had been cancelled.

According to NDTV report, passengers complained that the flight was delayed several times throughout the day. The passengers also alleged that they were asked to board and deboard the plane several times before being informed of the final departure time.

The airline apologized
IndiGo apologized for the inconvenience, saying, “We regret that our flight 6E17, which was originally scheduled to fly from Mumbai to Istanbul, faced a delay due to technical issues. Unfortunately, despite our best efforts to rectify the problem and send him to his destination, we ultimately had to cancel the flight.”
It further said, “An alternate aircraft has been arranged and is now scheduled to depart at 23:00. We want to assure our customers that their safety and comfort are our top priorities.”
