Zalando shortens the deadline for submitting returns after receipt from 100 to 30 days. Fashion United magazine first reported on it. Accordingly, newsletters were first sent to Dutch customers who were informed about the change. Shortly afterwards, the change in the return deadline was also confirmed for German customers. Consequently, the new regulation should apply to every order placed on or after January 7th. However, the returns themselves remain free of charge.
Amazon explained to Fashion United that over 90 percent of customers made returns within the first 30 days. “The change in the return period from 100 to 30 days is unlikely to have a significant impact on our customers’ shopping behavior, but will further improve the shopping experience for everyone. For this reason, we have decided to change our policy accordingly and are convinced that this adjustment will be beneficial for our customers.”
