Footwear consumption in pairs is expected to increase by 8.4% worldwide in 2025. This is the result of a forecast drawn up by World Footwear with experts for the World Footwear Business Conditions Survey – 2nd Semester 2024. According to this, consumption would increase the most in Oceania (+25%). An increase of 13.3% is predicted in Africa, 9.2% in Asia and 8.3% in North America. Slight increases are expected in South America (+3.2%) and Europe (+0.5%). For a more detailed forecast, the probability of different scenarios was also measured (see table).
