Gunfire heard near presidency in Chad’s capital N’Djamena


Bursts of gunfire were heard near the presidential compound in Chad’s capital N’Djamena on Wednesday evening, an AFP journalist on the scene reported. Armed men were reported to have attacked the interior of the compound while tanks were spotted on the streets of the capital, and all roads leading to the presidency have been blocked.
