ANWR says goodbye to Helmut Wies – schuhkurier

After four years as managing director of ANWR Schuh GmbH and a total of 17 years with the group, Helmut Wies retired as planned on December 31, 2024. He completed his work as managing director with the training of his successors, Astrid Heinze and Patrick Gottesleben, who were hired on September 1st (most recently in an interview with schuhkurier), and will continue to be available to the company in an advisory capacity. Tobias Eichmeier, board member and CCO of the ANWR Group, says goodbye: “With Helmut Wies, an absolute expert in the industry and the group scene is leaving us. But above all, a very valued colleague who has had a significant impact on our company over the last 17 years. With his approachable manner and his wealth of experience, he was always a very valued contact for our affiliated shoe retailers and many colleagues and a valuable leader for the team. Helmut Wies is a role model when it comes to life-long learning and positive leadership.” Helmut Wies held various positions at Sinn AG and Sinnleffers AG and was managing director at Schuhhaus Landgraf, among other things, before joining the ANWR group of companies as managing director of Conventa management consultancy. From 2010 he led the retail consulting team at ANWR Schuh GmbH as division manager. In 2021 he then moved to management. Eichmeier continued: “We would like to thank Helmut Wies for his great commitment and loyalty to our company and are glad that he will continue to be available to us in an advisory capacity. We wish him all the best for his future, especially lots of time with his beloved family.”
