Florida. SpaceX successfully sent two moon landers into their orbit using the Falcon 9 rocket after launch from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida. This mission took off at 11:41 am IST. This mission is an important milestone in lunar exploration as it involves two robotic landers from different countries. America’s Firefly Aerospace and Japan’s iSpace companies are sending their moon lander to the moon for the first time with a single launch rocket. This unmanned mission is part of NASA’s Commercial Moon Payload Service (CLPS) program.
This NASA program consists of ten scientific instruments designed to increase scientists’ knowledge about the lunar environment. In contrast, iSpace’s Resilience Moon Lander targets Mare Frigoris in the Moon’s northern hemisphere and includes a small rover called Tenacity.
