Konstantin Lomashu had been linked with the creation of the new organization, Second Foundation.
The founder of Lido said that the Ethereum ecosystem needs “more organizations contributing.”
Konstantin Lomashu, founder of the platform staking Liquid Ethereum (ETH) Lido, had been linked by the community of this network with the creation of a second Ethereum Foundation, as a result of a January 22 publication in X.
That same day, an account emerged on X under the name Second Foundation (Second Foundation) and participants in the Ethereum ecosystem suspected that it was a division of the Ethereum Foundation (EF). Lomashu reacted to the first post from Second Foundation and the suspicions began.
Hours later, the creator of Lido, the platform with the highest trading volume on Ethereum, denied that such an organization has been created parallel to the EF.
«The tweet was just a tweet, a second real foundation has not yet been created. “Ethereum is the ultimate world computer, and every participant can help it grow, evolve, and succeed.”
Konstantin Lomashu, creator of Lido and P2P.org.
However, Lomashu, continuing with his statements, stated his position regarding the existence of other organizations who work in the Ethereum ecosystem.
«If a second foundation is ever formed, it must have a clear purpose that complements the enormous work of current collaborators. I appreciate everyone’s support and think we need more organizations contributing to Ethereum.”

Suspicions about a possible new Ethereum foundation
CriptoNoticias notified on January 22 that a new account on the social network Second Foundation would have been identified as a possible new parallel organization to the already existing Ethereum Foundation (EF). The EF is a non-profit entity that promotes the development of the Ethereum network.
After the appearance of the alleged new foundation, users and Participants of the Ethereum ecosystem demonstrated. Some with enthusiasm, others surprised and there were no shortage of those who were pessimistic about a supposed division.
Suspicions of the creation of the Second Foundation They were fueled by intense debates within the Ethereum community, especially against the actions of the EF.
In this framework, users demand changes in the management of the Ethereum Foundation and criticize how this organization manages its funds to cover expenses, as well as a more focused approach on the development of the main network.
Thus, while part of these discussions surround the Ethereum environment in a “toxic” climate, according to Vitalik Buterin, Konstantin Lomashu was in charge of denying the existence of what some users of this community had received well: a second foundation.
