The European Union Foreign Minister on Monday agreed to take steps towards relaxing the restrictions on Syria following the decline of dictator Bashar Assad in December.
The European Union’s foreign affairs head Kaza Kailas wrote on Twitter in the east, “Although our goal is to move fast, the restrictions can be lifted if wrong steps are taken.”

French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot had earlier stated that restrictions will be applicable to energy, transport and financial sectors.
