Russian drone attacks on Monday damaged infrastructure sites in western, central and eastern Ukraine.
Ukraine’s Air Force said it shot down 57 out of 108 total drones launched by Russian forces.
The military said the intercepts occurred over the Dnipropetrovsk, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kharkiv, Khmelnytskyi, Kyiv, Mykolaiv, Poltava, Sumy, Vinnytsia and Zhytomyr regencies.
Officials in Dnipropetrovsk, Ivano-Frankivsk and Sumy said the drone strikes hit “critical infrastructure”.
Russian shelling wounded at least five people in the city of Nikopol on Monday, Dnipropetrovsk Governor Serhiy Lysak said on Telegram.
Russia’s Defense Ministry said its air defense shot down 32 Ukrainian drones, including intercepts over Voronezh, Belgorod, Kursk, Oryol and Tver.
Belgorod Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said on Telegram that a Ukrainian drone strike damaged a house, but no one was hurt.
A Kremlin spokesman said on Monday that Russia had not received any indication about a possible meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump.
The comments came days after Putin said he and Trump should discuss the war in Ukraine as well as energy prices.
