US President Donald Trump said on Monday that Chinese AI startup should serve as a “wake-up call” for American companies developing artificial intelligence in the AI startup Deepsek’s AI race.
Trump told a Republican Congress Retreat in Florida, “Hope the release of Deepsek AI from a Chinese company should be a wake-up call for our industries, which we need to be laser-focused to compete to win to win Is.”
After Trump’s comments, the AI model improved the top American model after powering the chatbot of Deepsek, said the Chinese company said they were built at a fraction of the cost.
Till Monday, Deepsek’s chatbot was the number one product at the Apple App Store in the US, which had crossed the Chatgpt Chatbot of Openai, who took the internet from the storm similarly when the first burst on the scene for the first time in 2023.

The growing popularity of Deepsac has shook the trust of investors by raising big questions about the future of the American AI model.
Nvidia, the leading supplier of AI Chips, lost 600 billion in the market cap on Monday, which was the biggest decline for any company in a single day in American history.
In Japan, a supplier for NVIDIA lost 10% on Tuesday after dives around 9% on Monday.
Chip-making equipment manufacturer Tokyo Electron fell 5.3%, while the technology start-up investor softbank group was 6% lower.
In the US, Broadcom recorded a decline of 17.4%, followed by the chatter backer Microsoft which fell 2.1%and then the alphabet of Google parents which ended 4.2%.
Trump says the shock may be ‘positive’ for American companies
Trump said Shock News could increase the “positive” future for American tech companies, as it would force them to innovate more cheaply.
