After a record level was reached at EUR 3.5 billion in 2022/2023, the company developed relatively stable in 2023/2024 with total sales of EUR 3.46 billion. Intersport saw positive impulses, especially in the European Football Championships in Germany. “We are satisfied with the financial year 2023/2024, because in view of the headwind with recession and inflation, we have developed better than the market,” says CFO Thomas Storck. “We are particularly pleased about the positive development of our online business: Here we have again developed much more than the online market. Overall, we benefit from our Omnichannel strategy, which promotes customer experiences across all sales channels in a 360-degree approach, as well as from the complete digitization of our value chain. ”

Intersport continues its multi-year investment offensive and plans investments of over 60 million euros in digitization, logistics, sustainability, personnel development and omnichannel strategies. The aim is to improve shopping experiences both inpatient and online and to increase efficiency for dealers. By 2023, around 100 new locations should be added, many of which are already being planned. The introduction of shop formation with an increased outdoor content is also in the works, as well as further investments in terms of order and sales processes as well as the Heilbronn location for supply chain optimization.
