The Lobby Organization Initiative New Social Market Economy plans to draw attention to the situation of the German economy on January 29 with the Economic Warning Day. More than 140 associations, including textile + fashion and family entrepreneurs as well as over 200 companies, take part in the campaign. In addition to five rallies, including at the Brandenburg Gate, there should be over 100 local campaigns. In a 10-point program before the Bundestag election, the initiators of the campaign request comprehensive reduction in bureaucracy, tax cuts for companies and employees on the EU average, an upper limit for social security contributions to 40%, more flexible labor law and internationally competitive energy prices.
