Together with the European Outdoor Group (EOG), the Munich Mass worked on a relaunch of the outdoor trade fair (previously outdoor by Isspo). It takes place from May 19 to 21 and is also intended to reduce costs by 20% and increase the number of exhibitors and visitors by 20%. At the moment there is more registrations than last year, but the fair is at a “critical point” due to some hesitant industrial representatives, the EOG announced. Eog interim managing director Scott Nelson therefore appealed to the new trade fair concept with a statement to industry: “The EOG exists to represent the will and needs of industry. We have to be aware that the industry has repeatedly expressed its need for the outdoor fair and at a newly revitalized, newly oriented concept. This was achieved with the outdoor 2025. ”If the new concept failed, this would be due to the lack of commitment to the entire industry:“ The momentum is increasing, but it is not yet guaranteed. We are willing to celebrate with over 150 committed brands and a significant support for the concept by the retailers, but cannot quite. We expect determination and a new sense of urgency from the industry. We cannot force the remaining brands to get up and to join the series of your colleagues, but do not demonstrate anything: If the fair fails, then not because of a lack of concept, lack of communication, lack of innovation, lack of support from colleagues, lack of support through retailers or a lack of effort. “
The exhibitors already announced include Patagonia, Lowa, Keen, Aku, Gore, Sympatex and Kamik.
