Delhi Election Results 2025 News Updates: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is caressing its wounds after a crushing defeat in the Delhi Assembly Elections 2025. At the same time, its leaders, including former Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia, have alleged violating the Model Code of Conduct (MCC). Sisodia has claimed that the entire system is against him. He said that at the time when money, shoes and saris were being distributed openly. In such a situation it was not easy to contest elections. In the Delhi Assembly elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won 48 out of 70 seats and defeated AAP. AAP won only 22 seats. Not only this, veteran leaders of the party including AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia, Satyendra Jain and Saurabh Bhardwaj also lost their seats.
After the meeting with Arvind Kejriwal, senior AAP leader Manish Sisodia said, “When the government machinery was being misused and the code of conduct was being violated, everyone contested the election in a great way. BJP MLAs should work for the public. Or not, you candidates will have to work for the public. “
AAP leader Manish Sisodia told reporters after meeting with party chief Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday (9 February), “All our candidates have contested a very good election. AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan, who managed to win in Okhla constituency, also repeated similar feelings. He said, “We are very sad with the result. It seems that he used the system, Election Commission, police and all powers to deliberately (BJP) to harm (AAP). The difference was very low.”
Even before the elections, AAP had expressed concern about MCC violation. Kejriwal’s party accused the BJP of using government machinery to manipulate the election process. The party has also claimed that BJP workers were distributing cash and gifts to voters.
He said that BJP was using government institutions to harass the candidates of Aam Aadmi Party. According to the report, however, these claims were rejected by the Election Commission and said that elections were conducted fairly.
Addressing reporters after a meeting with Arvind Kejriwal, acting Chief Minister Atishi said that the Aam Aadmi Party will play the role of creative opposition. The party will ensure that the Bharatiya Janata Party fulfills its promises. Atishi said that Kejriwal instructed the newly elected MLAs to serve the people and solve their problems.

He said, “You will play the role of a creative opposition and will ensure that the BJP gives Rs 2,500 per month to women by March 8, provide 300 units of free electricity and continue other facilities for the people.”
