MSC is an informal meeting on which no decision is taken. This is why the event encourages the open exchange of ideas, and there is no conflict under the carpet.

And Donald Trump has already set a new, sharp tone in the trans-eleventh relationship. “We were bursting on both trade and NATO by European countries,” read a quote by Trump during his election campaign published in “Munich Security Report” with the conference. He says to Europe: “If you do not have payment, we are not going to protect you.”

According to Trump, insufficient investment of European NATO partners in his armies is a fork in his favor. Hey repeatedly criticized Germany on this subject.

Earlier, Washington has paid a lion stake in the costs of NATO and offered reliable military protection to Europe. Trump now wants this to come up with condition: He is demanding that the Allies spend 5% of their big domestic products on defense. Germany is struggling to complete 2% which is now considered a minimum request in NATO.

Hesgen hoped that a peace plan could take shape in Munich. However, the diplomat insisted that the regional integrity and sovereign of Ukraine would have to be preserved. Huzen was first a foreign policy advisor for the German Chanman Angela Merkel and the German Ambassador to the United Nations in New York.

However, the representative of the Russian government has not been again invited to the MSc. The bet for an invitation “is a desire for dialogue,” emphasized Hesgen, “and until President Putin Kiev or Zelanski recognizes the government, I don’t think such dialogue is possible.” Russian opposition and representatives of non -governmental organizations, however, are welcome to Munich.

Trump’s bid for Greenland

If necessary,, including Greenland, which is part of Denmark, trump and resentment in Europe from Trump’s threat to Trump’s Annex regions by force was triggered in Europe. US Vice President JD Vance is behind Trump’s plans for expansion. Should they confirm the thesis plans in Munich, especially from the Representative of the European Union and the European states, with fierce opposition.

In response to Trump’s threat, he warned that the US should follow international law. German Chancellor Olaf Sholaz commented, “The integrity of Borders is a fundamental principle of international law. This principal should apply anytime.”

It was not with the president of that conference, Hesgen has repeatedly emphasized the importance of international law before the conference: “In my view, there is no better option for the order placed in the United Nations Charter.”

German elections big

The German domestic policy will play a special role in this year’s conference. The meeting will be held on February 23, exactly a week before the early elections of Germany – and thus in the midst of the final stretch of the election campaign. Many major politicians have confirmed their presence, including CDU leader and top candidate, Frederick Merz, who predicts that the election will win the election, making him a favorite for becoming the next Chancellor of Germany.

In other disciplines, they prefer to focus on how much money Germany should invest in Bundesvehar in the future and how it should be funded in the light of tight budget. The question is not what, but how, Germany and Europe can do more for their safety. Now that Donald Trump has moved to the White House, the subject should be discussed with more urgency in the Munich Security Conference than before.
