Russia has expanded an American citizen to allegedly carry food substance with cannabis derivatives in his belongings.
What do we know so far?
Local state -run news agencies TASS and Interfax reported that the 28 -year -old man came to know last Friday at the AFER of Moscow’s Vnukovo Airport.
Citing Russia’s federal customs service, “When passing the customs, one of his suitcases attracted the attention of a service dog.”
“During the customs search, inspectors found a zip-bag with the twring jar and candy … chemical analysis showed the drug of the canbinoid group.”
The items found were allegedly two jars of marmalade and gummy candy.
The man claimed that the dessert was prescribed by a doctor in the US and according to the Tass News Agency, he needed him to travel.
How did America react?
There was no immediate comment from the US State Department.
Earlier this week, Russia exchanged American teacher Mark Phogel for Alexander Winik, a Russian Cryptocurrency specialist who faced bitcoin Ms. Ms. allegations in the United States.
Fogel was serving a 14 -year sentence to travel with his family and supporters, which was “Medically determined” marijuana.
It was the first prisoner swap between Washington and Moscow since August.
