The city of Duisburg in West Germany has come to an unconventional way to woo voters for voting stations.
Voters were given vouchers for a drink to spend on a beer cart next to the voter polling station, which was absent ballot at the center of the city till 2 pm on Saturday at 2 pm (1300 GMT).
The voucher can be used for non-insufficient beverages. Duisburg officials said that a local liquor furnace was supporting an unusual project.
For a reporter with the German DPA news agency at the scene, around 80 voters had a gym with the first hour to avail the proposal.
History of low voter gymnasium
According to Duisburg election official Martin Murack, the north of the city has been historically low voters.
In the federal election of 2021, for example, compared to a national average of 76.6%, only 63.3% of voters in gymnastics of Duceburg II constituency to vote.
“With this unusual campaign, our carnivists are making sure that the federal election is in the headlines. It appeals to citizens who have not persuaded to vote by general election posters or information campaigns,” Murake said , “As a clear advantage” is for voter and therefore for our democracy! ,
The German will go to the election on 23 February to vote in the parliamentary elections on US President Donald Trump’s return to the White House, as well as a hot debate on the migration at home.
